Meeting of Whetstone Parish Council Planning Committee, usually held on the third Thursday of the month, however, for this month only on the forth Thursday, at the Council Offices, Cemetery Road, Whetstone. Because of the A.G.M and Parish Meeting taking place tonight, the meeting will commence at 9.30p.m. To make observations/objections on planning applications received from the Planning Authority, Blaby District Council. The minutes of the previous Planning Committee meeting held on 19th April 2007 are considered draft until confirmed and approved at this meeting.

The Annual Parish meeting takes place at 7.00 p.m. at the Council Offices on Cemetery Road and allows the Chairs annual report to be given and to hear any representations from other parties and groups involved in village life. Members of the public are invited to address the meeting on concerns they may have or ask questions to Council.

The Annual General Meeting of the Parish Council takes place at 7.30 p.m., following conclusion of the Annual Parish Meeting which commences at 7.00 p.m. at the Council Offices on Cemetery Road. It is at this meeting that members elect a new Chairman for the forthcoming year of office. A new Vice Chairman is also appointed, as well as membership of various committees and working parties. Representatives to outside bodies are also appointed. Normal Council agenda business will commence after this business is concluded. The minutes of the previous meeting held on 19th April 2007 enclosed here are considered draft until confirmed and approved at this meeting
