____________________________________________Major Leisure Development in Glenfield____________________________________________Annual Garden Competition
It is the time of year when we once again think about our garden competition. The competition is open to all residents and businesses in Glenfield and there is no entry charge. Front gardens will be viewed during the early part of July and prizes awarded in several categories - small gardens (which can be just tubs and baskets), front gardens, businesses and show gardens. Winners' prizes will be awarded at the Glenfield Gardeners' Association show on 16 August with certificates for runners up being sent out in the post. The competition is part of our Glorious Glenfield project and it is hoped residents and businesses alike will help to make Glenfield a brighter place to walk around. Only gardens that can be seen from public footpaths will be considered. If you would like your home or business to be considered or you know of an address that should be viewed then send the address details to the Parish Council. You can use the general enquiries form on the "Contact Us" page of this web site. ______________________________________________Local police officers get bikes and camerasLocal businesses have joined together to purchase a set of two bikes and head _____________________________________________
